\nKG Hospital, run by K.Govindaswamy Naidu Medical Trust, was�founded in 1974 by 'Dharmaveera' K.Govindaswamy Naidu, a leading industrialist�and philanthropist from Annur village in Coimbatore district. \n \nDr G.Bakthavathsalam�(MS, FICS, FCCP, FAMS), the Managing Trustee and Chairman of KG Hospital, has grown the hospital organically from a 10-bed hospital in 1974 to the state-of-the-art healthcare�provider it is today.� For his service to�society, Dr Bakthavathsalam (fondly known as Dr GB) has received numerous coveted awards including�Padma Shri Award�from the President of India and�Dr B.C.Roy Award�from the Prime Minister of India. \n \n

Quality is the lifeline of the hospital - KGH is currently a NABH and NABL accredited hospital. KGH is the first hospital in this part of the country to receive the "Five Star Award" from the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) for practising the "5S" concept. The hospital is also the first hospital in Coimbatore to win the prestigious Platinum DL Shah Award from the Quality Council of India.

  • Tsunami (2005): As one of the first responders, our ambulances carrying drugs, doctors and medical staff were rushed to the site and our staff worked in the Tsunami affected areas for more than 2 weeks

  • Kerala Floods (2018): One of the first responder to screen ~10,000 people, distribute medicines and essentials
  • \n \t
  • Gaja Cyclone Relief (2018): Distributed medicines and conducted medical camp in the affected areas for 10 days.

  • Covid-19 Pandemic (2020/21): Set up 150 bed KG Specialty Hospital (Saravanampatti) dedicated to treating Covid-19 patients. More than 3000 patients treated so far.
