The owner of the shop is a very kind person who makes you feel welcome. He is friendly and gives great advice on books. The store has a peaceful atmosphere and a good collection. Some rare books that are hard to find elsewhere can be found here. I really like it and consider it a place with heritage value for the city.

I have been visiting this bookshop since my college days in the early '80s. Whenever I visit Kolkata once a year from abroad, I always check here for any famous or rare books I need.

An authentic bookstore in the New Market area. Once you enter, you'll fall in love with the shop. The children's books are especially attractive.
