Odyssey Adyar

This is one of the best bookstores left, serving those who love the feel and smell of real books. It has a great atmosphere and a carefully chosen collection of books, gifts, stationery, and live events that appeal to book lovers and their families. I hope this bookstore stays open for a long time.

One of the coolest stationary/ bookstores in Chennai. This has been around for a long time, I used to visit as a child and had the chance to come back after over a decade and this place still has its charm. Amazing collection of books and pens, so happy to see the Amar Chitra Katha collection as well. The home decor options were pretty pricey, but they had pretty cool wind chimes at a reasonable rate. I'd like to point out the amazing packaging done by Mr. Ramachandran, he was so sweet near the billing counter, super kind and gentle with our things, not sure if the people have noticed but these are the little things that really set a place apart from the other stores and hope Mr. Ramachandran gets the recognition he deserves.

I�m very disappointed with the staff's response. I've been buying the same red diary from this Odyssey store for the last 7 8 years, but I couldn�t find that size on display. When I asked three different staff members, their responses were really bad. None of them listened to my needs or tried to help. The service at Odyssey these days is really poor, and even in the book section, no one responds properly.
