Started in the year 2008, the main objective of the School of Law at SASTRA is to provide students' diverse knowledge in the fields of Social Studies, Business and Economics integrated with legal education. It is beyond doubt that the legal education at SASTRA will prepare legal professionals who will play a decisive and critical leadership role in meeting various challenges. They shall do so not only as advocates practicing in courts, but also as judges, policy makers, public officials and civil society activists as well as corporate legal consultants in the private sector. SASTRA's legal education also prepares capable professionals to meet the emerging challenges of working in globalized knowledge economy, in which the organization of law and legal practice are undergoing a paradigm shift. The University is also working closely with premier law schools abroad for meaningful internship and study abroad programmes.
