Suswaad Sweets and Savouries Pvt Ltd
About
Suswaad Sweets in T-Nagar is famous for its simple yet flavoursome homemade snacks and sweets that taste just like your paatis (grandma)! Remember that sweet smell coming all the way from the kitchen when your grandma was making kesari, or the way the kai murruku crumbles in your fingers? Suswaad Sweets will remind you of exactly that.
\n
\nStarted by R Krishnamurthy in 1988, they initially specialised in the door-to-door delivery of bhakshanams. But over a period of time, they have expanded and currently operate from three stores- T-Nagar, Mandaveli, and KK Nagar. All this just by word of mouth! Bite into their sweets and you are sure to go the nostalgic way and reminisce the sweets made at home. Their sweets and savouries are a lot less greasy when compared to other sweet stores in the city. So, the health-conscious lot can binge without guilt. You can find everything from thattai and seedai to ladoos and thengai barfi here. The prices are moderate too.
\n
\nBesides sweets, they offer paruppu podi, karuveppilai podi, vathalkuzhambu paste, puli kaichal, tomato paste, kanji maavu, and pickles. You will also find bajji, vadai, and bondas in the evenings. Dont forget to try their oil-less machine-made murukku. Oh, we absolutely love these circular delights! We also relate to how every day at Suswaad begins with prayer! So, its literally like were in our grandparents home (amirite?). The next time you have a hankering for some homemade snacks, get them from Suswaad!

This is a place where you can find authentic and fresh sweets and snacks. They offer all kinds of traditional sweets and savory items made with less oil or ghee. Its also away from the city's traffic and noise. You should definitely visit if you want to gift some nice treats to your family or friends.

They don't allow you to take photos of the displayed snacks and savories, which seems odd. They also don't have a menu list to check whats available.
