I recently attended an Indian wedding, and it felt like a waste of money for just one night. Many guests were still hungry even after giving gifts to the newlyweds. It seemed like people could have just gone to a restaurant instead. I was in line, but others pushed ahead for the Indian chapatis. Even though the wedding seemed rich, the behavior of some guests reminded me of poor or desperate people. The bride's side was waiting, but then the groom's team rushed in and cut the line for food.
